Rock Bird Baths
Cotswold Rock Bird Bath available with or without a plinth
The outline of these is the same, but I handcraft every single one. Available as a standalone dish or on a choice of bases, they gently slope down, making them suitable for virtually all species of birds, frogs, etc. if placed on the ground.
Please note regarding stock: Because these bowls can be paired with different styles of bases, our online stock numbers might show a few available even if I’m running low on the bowls themselves. If you choose an option and it happens to be temporarily out of stock in the workshop, I will be in touch straight away to let you know the making time!
- Rock Bird Bath: 45cm x 42cm at widest points x 10-13cm high. Approximately 20-25kg.
- On Staddle Stone base: Approximately 45cm high. Approximately 40-45kg.
- On Oval base: Approximately 42cm high. Approximately 35-40kg.
Please note: I have hollowed out the underside of the bases purely for weight reduction and safer shipping.
All my items are reconstituted stone and handcarved after setting I do not know of anybody else who uses this process. It gives them a unique rustic stone finish, and they age amazingly well. My dad and I have been using this technique for over 30 years. Because every piece is handmade, all sizes, weights, and colours have slight variations. You can ask for the colour to be enhanced—this is normally at no extra cost and is usually possible in almost any colour!
